Dear Chancellor Milliken:

John Jay Colllege has hired Milton Allimadi as an Adjunct Professor.  Allimadi is a scam artist, who has previously scammed CUNY.

On 7 September 2011 I wrote to Senior Vice Chancellor Frederick P Schaffer concerning Milton Allimadi’s theft of money from CUNY.  In this missive, a copy of which I have enclosed, I detailed Allimadi’s scam.  Allimadi was the Publisher of The Black Star News, which at the time was a physical newspaper.  Allimadi engaged in a simple scam; he claimed a circulation of 10,000 for The Black Star News.  But Allimadi only printed several hundred copies of The Black Star News.

Allimadi would then go to divisions of CUNY and request advertising because he was a minority contractor.  CUNY would pay Allimadi thousands of dollars for advertising because the alleged circulation of The Black Star News was 10,000 weekly.

Allimadi boasted of scamming CUNY.  But that is chump change.  Allimadi embezzled approximately $1 million from the coffers of The Black Star News.  Allimadi even scammed a billionaire into cashing checks for The Black Star News and Allimadi then kept the cash for himself.  (I believe that Allimadi then became a federal informant for investigations into elected officials.)  Allimadi has been sued for failure to pay rent, failure to pay tuition (Columbia University), passing bad checks, etc.  He has been evicted from 11 Broadway and 32 Broadway.

But this I cannot understand.  Medgar Evers College evicted Allimadi and his scam, Guerilla Journalism class, from the premises of Medgar Evers.  Yet, here we have Milton Allimadi being hired as a paid adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.  And he is not a guest lecturer in fraud.  Doesn’t CUNY google anyone?

Sincerely,

Edward Manfredonia
